Iain has won awards as a reporter and producer. He began his career on evening newspapers before joining BBC Radio in Sheffield and then Birmingham. He moved to Yorkshire Television as a reporter and then News Editor before joining ITV Meridian as launch producer for the South East edition of the evening news programme in 1993. Iain has also produced a range of documentary programmes, and worked as a producer at Sky News.
Sandy was a television reporter for 16 years. Sandy became a journalist in her native Northern Ireland and then worked for Westminster Press before joining BBC local radio. She has worked for Anglia Television in Norwich, and then TVS in Maidstone in Kent. When Meridian took over from TVS, Sandy continued to work as a reporter/presenter on the evening programme, Meridian Tonight, where she continues to appear. She is also Director of Corporate Communications for South Kent College and offers workshops in writing for the web, crisis management, and other media related issues.
